Old Town, Millenium 174, touring kayak, Red, 72 Lbs, USED, plastic
This boat is 17′-4″ long, and pretty fast and tippy for a plastic boat. It’s a step up from a sit-on-top, without having to drop $2000 on a composite touring boat. It has a three-layer construction (pictured), which makes it very have an effect on resistant. It is used, I took it on a 10-day, 150-mile solo kayak travel off Maine with about 150Lbs of gear, and it worked great. It has adjustable foot pegs for controlling the rudder, and a “remote keep watch over” line that lets you raise or lower the rudder at the same time as sitting in the boat.
I weighed it at about 72 Lbs.
– Slight bend to rudder (pictured).
– Decent scratches in hull (a couple deep ones and a couple of shallow). None of them appear to have made it to the middle layer.
– The Deck bungie cord could be replaced, in conjunction with the hatch straps and the back hatch. I have a spare back hatch for it (included).
– Stickers have mostly fallen off.
Shipping: Local pickup within about 10 miles of 92109 or I can freight ship, buyer pays shipping – if you’ll be able to find a shipping cost that you’ll be able to tolerate. Ebay doesn’t seem to include freight as one of their products and services, but it may make sense to look at “Uship.com”. UPS would probably charge 300-600$ to ship it across country.
